How to Avoid Another Disappointing Weight Loss Attempt

What you would look and feel like if you were at your ideal weight?

If you don’t have a vision then you could be setting yourself up for another disappointing weight loss attempt.

Just think of your vision like the GPS in your car. Without the right directions you may never get to your destination.

So you decide to lose weight and you know the drill, cut the carbs and get your butt to the gym right?

If you ask me that plan is doomed to fail. Then what do you do?

Maybe you should get the latest diet book that everyone is raving about.

Again diets may work for a while but you’re still not hitting the nail on the head.

Your weight loss begins with creating a vision for success.

How do you that?

You want to create a vision that makes you feel really good.

You do this by first writing down what you don’t want.

Here are a couple of don’t statements:

“I don’t want to have to shop for larger clothes”

“I don’t like the way I look in the mirror”

Change your statement to a do:

“I love to shop for clothes in a smaller size”

“I like how I look in the mirror”

Now create a picture in your mind based on how you would look and feel using your new “do” statements.

To sum up, weight loss begins not in the kitchen or the gym but with a vision.

To create a vision write down what you don’t want so you know what you do want.

Select one statement that feels the most empowering to you.

Really create a picture of how you would look and feel in your vision.
