Do You Fear Menopausal Weight Gain?

Do you fear the M word?

What I mean is menopause.

Do you think weight gain is inevitable once you enter this time of

your life?

I am about to share with you that you are not doomed to weight

gain and how you can have a sense of youth and vitality even

as you go into menopause and beyond.

Hi I’m Sheri McNally and I’m here to show you that

menopause does not have to be synonymous with weight gain, hot

flashes, or moods swings.

Instead you can be enjoying the greatest health at this time in your life.

Stay tuned because I am going to give you some tips on what it

takes to live the good life even if you have already started to

experience menopausal symptoms.

You see it in magazines, in the news, and on TV women

experiencing uncomfortable symptoms due to perimenopause or

Many women fear that feeling good and youthfulness is a thing of the past.

I don’t agree.

I am also embarking on this time in life and I fully believe that you

can be an even better version of yourself.

So what’s the secret to living life without hot flashes or having to go

on medication?

What if I told you that in other cultures menopausal symptoms like

weight gain, hot flashes, and mood swings are non-existent?

In our society we have been taught that this is what happens

during menopause.

Therefore this is what many believe and therefore experience as

Along with this cultural belief many women in this country may not

realize how much blood sugar is interconnected with proper

hormonal balance.

Eating too much sugar and refined carbohydrates and not getting

enough real nutrition into the body can send your blood sugar on a

roller coaster ride.

I have heard it many times, “but I eat a healthy diet.”

According to studies only 33% of American adults eat the

recommended two or more servings of fruit and only 27% eat the

recommended three or more servings of vegetables.

Those are minimal recommendations.

To summarize there are other cultures like Mayan Indian women

who do not experience any significant symptoms like hot flashes,

and actually look forward to menopause as a time of freedom and

being known as a “wise woman.”

Here in this country we tend to have the mindset that menopause

is a time of uncomfortable symptoms and growing old.

It doesn’t have to be this way if you can just shift your mindset and

think like the Mayan Indian women.

One simple way to decrease menopausal symptoms is to decrease

sugar and refined carbohydrate intake as well as increase the

amount of daily servings of produce.

menopausal symptoms?
